Your Satisfaction is our Goal – Berrycake Bakery’s goal is to provide a great-looking and delicious cake for your event. Please review our Cake Care and Handling Instructions.
Deposit – A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking and reserves your event date. The deposit is non-refundable.
Payment Balance – Full payment for celebration cakes is due the day of delivery or pickup. Full payment for tiered wedding cakes is due 2 weeks for the event.
Final Design Changes – Final design changes are due 2 weeks before your event. Because we have to order materials for your beautiful creation, we are not able to accommodate last minute design changes.
Cancellations and refunds – While the initial deposit is non-refundable, cakes can be cancelled 2 weeks prior to the event. If your event is postponed, please reach out do discuss options.
Delivery – All tiered cakes will be delivered for an extra fee. Tiered cakes are not available for pick-up since they are very tricky to transport and we will ensure the cake gets to you or your venue in a perfect condition. We transport our cakes in the CakeSafe system that insulates and protects the cake.
Pick-up – Single tiered cakes can be picked up. We will coordinate a time window that will work for you to pick up your cake. If the customer doesn’t pick up the cake at the specified time, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to get your order on time for your event. Please respect our time and pick up at the agreed-upon time.
Artistry – We do not copy other cake artists’ designs. If you have inspirational photos, we will use them to create a cake with a similar theme but we will never make it exactly like the photo. We are not just bakers. We are artists. We will always add our own style to the cake we are creating. Please not that the colors may also not look exactly like the photos you have provided.
Food Coloring – Please be aware that your request may require food coloring. We use the best food coloring on the market. However, deep colors may stain your tongue or mouth. To avoid that, please request the colors to be toned down.
Doweling – Critically important: do not attempt smashing the cake with hands or face. Some cakes will contain supporting dowels hidden inside of the cake that can hurt or cause damage to hands, eyes, and face if smashed.
Decorations – Some cakes may contain decorations that are dangerous to small children. Please remove any decorations that are not appropriate for children before serving the cake.
Ingredients – Our products may contain eggs, peanuts, milk, wheat (gluten), nuts, soy, and other allergens. Please refer to the “cottage food” label on the cake box for the complete list of allergens present in your specific cake. We are not responsible for any allergic reactions after consuming the cake. We transparently advise that we make our gluten free and egg free products in the same kitchen as our regular cakes. While we do the best we can to minimize cross contact, we cannot guarantee it.
Flowers – When fresh flowers are used, you acknowledge that they are not food grade products.
Rentals – All rental cake stands will need to be returned to Berrycake Bakery in the same condition they were provided. If the item is not returned, the customer agrees to cover the full cost of the rental.
